These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Gill Electrical Ltd. By requesting a quotation, booking work, or using our services, you agree to be bound by the terms set out below.
1. Scope of Work
All electrical work will be carried out in accordance with current UK legislation, including BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and relevant health and safety standards. Work will be limited strictly to the scope agreed prior to commencement. Any additional work identified during the project will be discussed and approved before being carried out.
2. Quotations & Estimates
All quotations and estimates are based on the information available at the time and are valid for a limited period unless stated otherwise. Prices may change if site conditions differ, access is restricted, existing installations are unsafe, or unforeseen issues are discovered. Gill Electrical Ltd reserves the right to revise prices where necessary, with reasonable notice provided.
3. Access & Site Conditions
The customer is responsible for providing safe, clear, and uninterrupted access to the property and electrical installation. Gill Electrical Ltd accepts no responsibility for delays or additional costs caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions, third-party interference, or incomplete information.
4. Safety & Refusal of Work
Gill Electrical Ltd reserves the right to stop, suspend, or refuse work if unsafe conditions are identified, including hazardous installations, asbestos risks, or unsafe working environments. Safety of persons and property is always the highest priority.
5. Appointments & Delays
Appointment times and completion dates are estimates only. Gill Electrical Ltd shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including material shortages, supplier delays, weather conditions, or customer-related issues.
6. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of work unless agreed otherwise in writing. Invoices must be settled within the stated timeframe. Gill Electrical Ltd reserves the right to withhold certificates, reports, or documentation until full payment has been received. Late or non-payment may result in recovery action and suspension of future services.
7. Certification
Where applicable, electrical certificates and reports will be issued upon completion of work and receipt of full payment. It is the customer’s responsibility to retain all documentation for legal, insurance, or compliance purposes.
8. Liability & Warranty
Gill Electrical Ltd guarantees workmanship for a reasonable period under normal use. This warranty does not cover faults arising from misuse, wear and tear, third-party alterations, or existing defects outside the agreed scope of work. Liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.
